1 Summary

This document includes information about how to install and configure the Gate Client so that users do not need to access the Gate application servers through Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).

After installation and configuration, users can open the Gate application locally for each factory without requiring access to the application servers.

2 Gate Installation to Local Computer

Use the LINK provided in the source document to obtain the Gate ZIP file and download it to the local computer.

3 Installation

After downloading the ZIP file:

  1. Right-click the ZIP file
  2. Select the extraction option
  3. Extract the contents to a location accessible from the local computer

4 Configuring Factory Gate Instances

After extracting the ZIP file:

  1. Open the extracted folder

  2. Locate the following executable:

    GateAdministration.exe
  3. Create a shortcut to the executable on the desktop:

    Copy the executable → Go to the desktop → Paste as shortcut

After creating the desktop shortcut:

  1. Right-click the shortcut
  2. Select Properties

The shortcut properties include the following fields:

Target type: Application
Target location: Administration
Target: ...\Gate 10.1.0\Administration\GateAdministration.exe
Start in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ineor\Gate 10.1.0\Administration
Shortcut key: None
Run: Normal window

In the Target field, add the factory-specific Domain Name System (DNS) alias after the closing quotation mark following the executable path:

"...\Administration\GateAdministration.exe" DNS_ALIAS_HERE

Use the separate DNS Aliases document referenced by the source to obtain the correct Gate application DNS alias for each factory.
